I was fortunate enough to have taken a metalworking class in high school, and completely fell in love with the process of making jewelry from raw metals and stones. Life got busy, but 20+ years later, I’ve set up shop in a corner of my house and am back at it.

I like to create designs that highlight the materials I’m using. I love creating hammered textures and oxidized finishes that bring warmth to cold metal. I like to showcase the natural beauty of the stones I find, and to dress up simple stones with gemstones and freshwater pearls.

Many of my designs are inspired by the natural beauty along the shores of Lake Superior. We spend many weekends at our cabin on Madeline Island throughout the year, and many of the stones in my work come from local beaches.
